About The Rifles
The Rifles Regiment is the largest infantry regiment of the British Army, providing an unmatched choice of roles, locations and jobs.
This is our heritage: independence born of necessity; self-discipline forged by choice. In every Rifleman beats the heart of a modern warrior. We are the inheritors of a unique legacy written not just in past battle honours, but in the way we look, move, think, and fight today.
Our commitment to the Armed Forces Community
The Rifles regiment supports veterans through a comprehensive welfare network, primarily via The Rifles Benevolent Trust and the Always a Rifleman Programme (AARP).
We support our Veterans in a variety of ways.
- The AARP provides 24/7 crisis support, mental health counselling, financial grants for hardship or home adaptations, and mentoring to help with transition to civilian life.
- The Rifles Benevolent Trust: Provides financial grants for those in need, including assistance with disability adaptations, mobility equipment, and essential household items.
- The Rifleman's Association: Promotes the camaraderie of The Rifles family and maintains connections through local branches and social activities.
- Employment Support: Assistance with retraining and finding employment.
