Purpose of the role:
We are looking for Project Managers to join Galliford Try, where you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of projects across the business. With business units ranging from highways to water, specialist services and building, there are opportunities to work on projects that genuinely make a difference to communities across the UK.
This role would suit people leaving the Armed Forces, where experience leading teams, managing complex operations and working in fast-paced environments can transfer well. You’ll be supported as you move into a civilian role, with the chance to build on your existing skills in a practical, team-focused setting.
What you will be doing:
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive working environment where everyone can speak up and contribute
- Ensure all work meets health, safety and legal requirements, including CDM regulations
- Promote a culture of fairness, respect, diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity
- Work closely with designers and stakeholders to deliver practical, buildable solutions
- Plan and lead collaborative sessions to keep teams aligned and projects moving forward
- Build and support effective teams, including recruiting, onboarding and working with supply chain partners
- Oversee project delivery from start to finish, managing risks, costs, quality and programme targets
- Lead, support and develop team members, encouraging strong performance and continuous improvement
