The Naval Families Federation (NFF) exists to give Royal Navy and Royal Marines
families a voice and representation to the Ministry of Defence, Ministers, other
Government departments, the Chain of Command and other civilian service providers.
As an independent charity, we provide support and guidance on matters affecting the
daily lives of Naval service families, acting as an advocate when appropriate to resolve
complex issues.
As subject matter experts we continue to contribute to academic research and
implementation of The Armed Forces Covenant providing evidence and the Naval
families’ perspective to shape change and influence policy.
The Naval Families Federation champions Royal Naval and Royal Marines families, and
with credibility and agility, delivers bespoke projects to enable families to thrive in their
communities of choice.
Our vision is for all members of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines families to:
• Have their views heard by those in position of power.
• Feel valued.
• Be treated with fairness and respect.
• Thrive in their communities of choice.
NFF Objectives:
• To drive evidenced based change.
• To increase our reach.
• To be effective advocates and champions on matters that really impact our
families.
• To have and sustain an effective and agile organisation
• To demonstrate we value our Royal Navy and Royal Marines families.
