About Bourne Education Trust

Bourne Education Trust is a successful multi-academy trust made up of 24 schools (plus 3 associate schools), across primary, secondary and specialist school phases in Surrey, Hampshire and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

The trust's mission is to provide the very best educational experience for its pupils. It is responsible for the education of 14,000 students and employs a dedicated team of over 1,600 staff members. The trust's organizational structure is designed to facilitate collaboration and innovation, with schools grouped into phases and clusters to allow for specialized and cross-phase work.

Bourne Education Trust has a strong track record of transforming schools, taking 10 institutions from special measures or requiring improvement to 'good' or 'outstanding' status since 2012. At the heart of the trust's mission is the belief that every child deserves access to high-quality education, and it actively engages with schools and communities that may not have previously experienced such opportunities. While respecting the unique identities of its schools, the trust instills a common ethos of warmth, professionalism, positivity, high aspirations and a safe, nurturing environment.

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Community

Supporting and promoting the wellbeing of children of Armed Forces families, recognising the unique experiences and challenges they mat face. Adding by schools' admissions code to support the allocation of school places for service children and enabling BET schools to reflect service families within their oversubscription criteria as appropriate. Support children of Armed Forces families who receive specialist support or who are on specialist service waiting lists by facilitating the transfer of information between schools with the aim of minimising disruption to their care and education. Seeking to maximise the effective use of an dedicated funding to support service children and their families. Supporting schools to identify a local Service Children's Champion where applicable.
