At Wellingtone, we are passionate about supporting the Armed Forces community as you transition to civilian careers. As Microsoft’s No.1 Global Partner and the author of more APM-accredited courses than any other training provider, we bring unrivalled expertise in project and portfolio management training.
We understand the unique skills and experiences gained in military service and have designed a specialised APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) course tailored for service leavers. This course contextualises project management principles to military experience and resettlement planning, with practical exercises and discussions relevant to your background.
All course delegates get free access to the Wellingtone Community to continue their learning, which culminates in our flagship in-person conference designed to help delegates to learn, share & grow alongside industry project professionals.
Our Military Trainer: Simon Parsons is a service leaver, now serving as a Reservist and Project Management Trainer here at Wellingtone. Having successfully transitioned from a military career to the project management sector, he possesses a deep understanding of the complexities involved in translating military experience into civilian terminology. Simon actively assists members of the forces community with this process. Additionally, he recognises the significant value that Forces Spouses can bring to the field as Project Professionals, and provides them with targeted guidance, training, and information about opportunities within the profession.
Beyond APM PFQ, we also deliver the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) and can support those aspiring to achieve APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status. Our goal is to help you leverage your leadership, discipline, and organisational skills into recognised professional qualifications that open doors in the civilian workplace.
We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and are committed to supporting this community, both from within our business and externally actively champion the project profession for Service Leavers and Forces Spouses.
We have a dedicated 'Project Management for Service Leavers with APM PFQ' course which we deliver to help Service Leavers learn how their military skills apply to project management. This is an exclusive package only available to Service Leavers which has an APM Accredited Microsoft Planner training included.
