We are excited to announce that Veterans' Growth is now offering our Veterans' Addiction and Mental Health program. This program is designed to provide support and assistance to veterans facing addiction and mental health challenges.

Key program details:

• Duration: The program will run every Wednesday for the next 18 months, and veterans can join at any time when they feel ready.

• Approach: We will be using the SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training) program, which equips individuals with the tools and techniques to modify problematic behaviors, including addiction to substances or behaviors such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, and more.

• Facilitation: Our program is facilitated by trained professionals who guide participants through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational tools and techniques.

• SMART's 4-Point Program: The foundation of SMART is the 4-Point Program, which includes:

  1. Building and Maintaining Motivation
  2. Coping with Urges
  3. Managing Thoughts, Feelings, and Behaviors
  4. Living a Balanced Life

• Non-Religious and Personal Choice: SMART is a non-religious program that empowers individuals to make choices about their behaviors. We do not use terms like "addict" or "alcoholic." Participants have the power to choose what works best for them.

• Freedom to Pursue Other Goals: As participants progress and achieve a healthy, positive, and balanced lifestyle, they are encouraged to pursue other life goals.

Please note that it's advisable for veterans enrolling in this program to have sought professional help with addiction or recovery before joining Veterans' Growth, as we do not provide drug replacement or other forms of recovery tools.
