The Plymouth Veterans and Family Hub is dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. It is operated by veterans and their families, in collaboration with various organizations in the city. The hub's mission is to create improved pathways for veterans and their families by offering the following services:
- Social activities
- Peer support and mentoring
- Information, advice, and guidance in the following areas:
- Employment
- Housing support
- Mental wellbeing
- Unpaid carers support
- Welfare benefits
The hub collaborates with local health service partners to ensure veterans receive the support they are entitled to under the military covenant. Additionally, the hub connects with the Advice Plymouth team, which provides drop-in information and signposting services for various issues, including benefits, debt, employment, and utility matters. The Advice Plymouth drop-in service is available from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM, while the veterans specialist support volunteer is available Monday to Wednesday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
