At Computer Network Defence Ltd (CND), we’re growing our Security Operations Centre and are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about cyber security and wants hands-on experience across real-world threat detection, investigation, and response.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in protecting client environments by:
- Monitoring and triaging security alerts across SIEM, IDS, firewalls and more
- Investigating suspicious activity and escalating complex cases to Tier 2/3 analysts
- Conducting threat and attack analysis using real-time data
- Supporting vulnerability management and threat intelligence activities
- Working closely with experienced analysts and security engineers
- You’ll start with a structured SOC training programme before moving into live operational work
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate SIEM alerts and security events
- Conduct inbound and outbound attack analysis
- Validate indicators of compromise (IPs, user agents, etc.)
- Maintain accurate investigation records and logs
- Perform daily SOC health and security checks
- Support alert tuning and false positive reduction
- Research and share threat intelligence (OSINT)
- Collaborate with Tier 2/3 analysts and engineers
- Contribute to improving SOC processes and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Degree (or equivalent) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or similar
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Interest in cyber threats, attack methodologies, and security tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
