About Turn: Restoring Lives for UK Veterans

Welcome to About Turn, where we are dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation and support to veterans in the UK who need it the most. Regardless of the challenges they face, our mission is to empower these veterans to lead safe, fulfilling lives as valued members of civilian society.

Induction Phase

Before embarking on the Zero-Alpha course, all veterans will undergo an essential induction phase. This period allows them to settle in, become familiar with the routine, and gain an understanding of the course ahead. It's also an opportunity to identify any specific support needs they may have during their journey.

Zero-Alpha Course

Our residential Zero-Alpha course offers veterans a dedicated space to focus on improving their well-being and planning for the future. Over a span of 12 weeks, this course comprises various modules covering a wide range of topics, including managing home finances, securing employment opportunities, and exploring new hobbies.

Transition to Civilian Life

Upon completing the Zero-Alpha course, veterans receive ongoing support as they transition back into civilian society. Mentors and fellow veterans provide guidance in areas such as job placement, entrepreneurship, and maintaining a well-balanced civilian life. Furthermore, there are opportunities to enroll in vocational courses to further enhance their skill set.

Throughout the About Turn experience, we maintain a harmonious balance between classroom learning and outdoor activities with a strong focus on agriculture. This approach not only enables veterans to develop valuable skills but also fosters a sense of responsibility and self-worth. Together, residents contribute to the cultivation of fresh produce and delicious baked goods that can be shared and enjoyed by all. We are here to support our veterans every step of the way on their journey to rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

Turn Counselling offers affordable therapy in a claim therapeutic space. Different theories are used work towards a reparative outcome.
