Accommodation For Disabled Veterans and Dependants

Provide family type accommodation for disabled ex-servicemen linked to the city of Leicester and their families, so that they can live as normal a life as possible. North Memorial Homes does not provide either social or nursing care or an on-site Housing Manager. Therefore, all applicants must be able to manage their own care needs.

To be considered for a place in one of our homes, we ask that you meet one of the following criteria, in decreasing priority:

1 A person who served in the armed forces and who was disabled and whose home at the time of mobilisation or enlistment was situated in the City of Leicester.

2 Widows, widowers and dependants of the above who are in need, hardship, or distress.

3 A person who is disabled and in need, hardship or distress who have either been born in the City of Leicester or have lived there for not less than a year preceding the appointment.

4 A person who is in need, hardship or distress.
