Description
Centenary Village, a project by RBLI, aims to support military veterans and their families for the next hundred years. This £22 million development includes purpose-built homes, assisted living accommodations, family homes, and a community center. It employs a comprehensive health and social care model called STEP-IN to provide tailored support for residents, promoting independence.
This initiative is crucial because veterans, especially recent ones, face long-term challenges such as disabilities and homelessness. The Centenary Village addresses these issues by offering housing, support, and opportunities for veterans to reintegrate into society and lead independent lives. It is a response to the growing needs of veterans and exemplifies RBLI's commitment to their well-being, as stated by General Sir Gordon Messenger KCB DSO* OBE, Centenary Village Campaign Patron.
