Drop In Hub: East Yorkshire

Tom Wood MBE and his wife Jean have achieved their goal of opening a Veterans drop-in center in Barnsley. The center is located at 11 Regent Street South, near the Interchange entrance, and it's now open.

The center is staffed by Tom and volunteers three days a week, offering advice and assistance to veterans.

Help 4 Homeless Veterans has a great track record of assisting about 1000 veterans, with nearly 100 helped in the past year. In 2020, the charity received The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service and other community service awards.

Veterans can ask for help by visiting the Drop-in shop or using the charity's website. This new center is a testament to the dedication of Tom Wood and his team of volunteers in helping veterans in their community.
