Army Veteran's Placement Leads to Site Manager Role at Galliford Try

After a 13-year career in the army, Marcus chose to leave the military and during his leave period, served a 2-week military placement with Galliford Try's Building East Midlands Business Unit as a Project Manager in January 2024. 

Following his successful and enjoyable time with us Marcus embarked on his civilian journey in construction with us on one of our sites as an Assistant Site Manager, able to transfer his skills into the industry, where, with strong support and a personal drive helped him develop quickly. 

Recently Marcus has been promoted to Site Manager and regularly supports other military placements at Galliford Try Construction with his own personal experiences and knowledge.
