About the role

In this role, you will actively support the Design team in shaping and delivering world-leading, creative, and innovative design solutions that enhance the experience for our customers, colleagues, and the wider business. You will play a key part in ensuring that design outcomes are not only visually compelling, but also practical, scalable, and aligned to strategic and commercial objectives.

Customer focus sits at the heart of everything you do. You will consistently champion the customer perspective, using insight and feedback to inform design decisions and ensure solutions genuinely meet customer needs while supporting operational efficiency and colleague experience. Through close collaboration, you will help translate ideas into high-quality design outcomes that deliver meaningful impact and contribute to a distinctive, best-in-class customer proposition.
You will be responsible for
  • Support Design Managers in the delivery of market-leading retail design projects.
  • Apply design expertise, customer insight, trend analysis, and benchmarking to ensure all projects are best in class.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the business to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Define and develop clear, robust project briefs aligned to business and brand objectives.
  • Manage and drive design projects end-to-end, from initial ideas and concepts through to prototyping, trial implementation, and standardisation.
  • Manage external suppliers to develop design solutions in line with agreed project briefs and creative direction.
  • Act as a Brand Guardian, ensuring all design outputs are considered, consistent, and aligned to the wider brand and business strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within stores through competitor benchmarking and internal reviews.
  • Manage external relationships with suppliers, photographers, and reprographic partners.
  • Adhere to the Business Code of Conduct, always acting with integrity, professionalism, and due diligence.
  • Continuously develop leadership capability and deepen retail design knowledge and expertise.
You will need
  • Designing retail environments and brand / graphics
  • In-House design team or Design Agency experience
  • Working with multifunctional teams to deliver store design projects
  • Experience in a fast space retail environment
  • Degree in a design related subject e.g. Interior design, Architecture, Product design, graphic design, design management
