Employment & Work Placement Opportunity

Galliford Try offers up to a 2-week unpaid work placement for service leavers and recent leavers from the forces to experience what life would look like in the civilian world of construction. Shadowing a skilled member of staff and supported by a Military Buddy throughout, you will have a programme specifically planned out for your needs and requirements to expose you to the role/s you are interested in pursuing.  This plan can be fluid and changed throughout the two weeks to suit your personal needs.  There is no guarantee of a job offer at the end of the placement; however, this is a perfect opportunity for you to demonstrate your capability and also decide if Galliford Try is the right business for you.  It also allows us to measure your capability and evaluate what you could bring to the job, and it is the best interview you will ever have.

We have projects across England and Scotland where you will experience real-life situations and get involved in various activities, providing you with the knowledge you need to make a decision on your civilian career in Construction, and where you see it going.

Placements are available across all our roles within all Sectors, Building, Infrastructure, Environmental, and Specialist Services.
