You’ve probably had lots of varying opinions on your CV from your friends, colleagues, family members and others. Usually, this just leads to confusion as they’ll all have very different views on what to leave in, what to take out, what it should look like, what it should say etc. This isn’t generally helpful and it could just send you into a spiral of uncertainty about whether or not your CV is a ‘good enough’ for today’s competitive jobs market.

Truly, the only views that matter are those of hiring managers who’ll decide if the CV tells them enough about you to warrant an invitation to interview.

Have you made it clear and easily readable for them to quickly find the info they need to know? Does the CV tell them how you meet the basic requirements they’ve set out in the job description? Have you illustrated what makes you a better candidate than all the others?
