"Following my time in the British Army and a few years working in central government I was ready for a change, and at Kyndryl, I found a place where my skills truly matter. The leadership, resilience, and problem-solving I developed whilst serving have been invaluable here. Adaptability, teamwork, and a mission-focused mindset help me navigate challenges and drive meaningful outcomes. Claim Organisation ProfileKyndryl is committed to being an Armed Forces-friendly employer and actively promotes its support both internally and externally. This includes using the Covenant and ERS logos, creating a dedicated Armed Forces page on our website, appointing an Armed Forces Champion, and establishing an Armed Forces KIN to connect colleagues with military links. We also run and promote networks such as coffee mornings and breakfast clubs, engage with local military units, and collaborate with other organisations supporting the Covenant in our region.
Kyndryl actively seeks to employ veterans and service leavers through a range of initiatives. We run mentoring schemes, insight days and a dedicated Armed Forces recruitment scheme to ensure Armed Forces applications are recognised and prioritised by hiring managers. We also engage with the Career Transition Partnership, promote schemes such as Step Into Health, and offer training opportunities in partnership with our technical partners to help veterans transition into rewarding new careers.
We recognise the unique challenges faced by military families and offer flexible support to Service spouses, partners and dependants. This includes short-notice leave when a partner is deployed, hybrid working options to allow for mobility, and engagement with Forces Families Jobs and the tri-Service Families Federations to provide tailored opportunities and advice.
We are dedicated to helping Service spouses and partners find sustainable employment by signing up to Forces Families Jobs and offering roles that can flex around the realities of Service life. Our hybrid working model enables mobility, ensuring that family commitments and relocations do not prevent spouses and partners from pursuing their careers with us.
Kyndryl is proud to employ Reservists and values the important contribution they make to national defence. To support their service, we provide an additional 10 days’ paid annual leave each year so they can fulfil their training and deployment duties without disadvantage to their careers.
We engage with and support local Armed Forces charities in a variety of ways, including through fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns. In addition, we signpost members of the Armed Forces Community to trusted support organisations such as Cobseo, the Veterans Gateway and statutory services to ensure they can access the help they need.
Kyndryl proudly supports and promotes national events that recognise the contribution of the Armed Forces, including Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities. We see these as important opportunities to raise awareness, show appreciation, and encourage wider engagement across our staff and customers.
Through partnerships with charities and the Career Transition Partnership, we are committed to highlighting and promoting opportunities for wounded, injured and sick Service personnel. Our aim is to help individuals find meaningful employment and pathways to reskilling that enable them to thrive after service.
