Description
The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of STAND TO. The role combines:
- Project oversight and data reporting
- Staff and volunteer management
- Partnership building with military, statutory, and community organisations
- Oversight of the Veteran Community Hub
- A small clinical caseload supporting veterans with mental health and/or addiction needs
- You will ensure the service operates safely, professionally, and in line with DAAS governance, contributing to strategic development, service quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor project delivery, ensuring accurate data capture and production of funder reports
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and clinical governance
- Maintain strong relationships with military, NHS, local authority, and voluntary sector partners
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing line management, training oversight, and on‑call support
- Promote the STAND TO service at events, meetings and through digital channels
- Contribute to service development, funding opportunities, and stakeholder engagement
About You
You will bring:
Essential:
- Military experience or close family connection to the Armed Forces, with leadership experience
- Experience managing staff or volunteers
- Experience in support, welfare, community, or mental health settings
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills
- Ability to manage risk, safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Commitment to supporting veterans and their families
Desirable:
- Experience in veteran‑specific services
- ILM Level 5 (or equivalent)
- Experience supervising clinical caseload staff
- Knowledge of Armed Forces Covenant, ERS, and veteran‑related policy
