CONTRACT MONITORING OFFICER POST to 30/9/2026

Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Contract Management Team

We are delighted to be able to offer a temporary Contract Monitoring Officer post in the Learning Disability, Autism & Mental Health Contract Management team (LDAMH). The post is available initially until the 30th September pending service restructure.

As a Contract Monitoring Officer, your work assists the Contract Assurance Officer with the management of a portfolio of contracts. Within the LDAMH Contract Management Team this includes Supported Living Services, Specialist Day services, Mental Health Rehabilitation and Advocacy.

The postholders will have the responsibility of monitoring contracts with commissioned service providers by analysing intelligence provided by provider organisations as well as other sources.

You may have the opportunity to conduct on-site monitoring exercises and contract reviews, building valuable working relationships in the process. Your work enables the team to make informed decisions on contract performance and the quality of care and service that is being delivered, addressing poor performance where necessary and escalating provider performance and contractual issues to the Contract Assurance Officer.

What we are looking for...

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who has experience of working within a team and who may also have experience of Social Care and/or Commissioning and Finance systems. You must be capable of gaining an understanding of contract compliance and contract monitoring processes.
  • Someone with a positive attitude with well-developed interpersonal skills, which will be used to build and maintain relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be committed to ensuring a high standard of performance using analytical, dispute resolution and mediation skills.
  • Knowledge and Experience - You will have experience of using Microsoft ICT systems. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
