What You'll Do

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be more than a mechanic - you'll be a key player in operational readiness. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Servicing and repairing a diverse fleet, from patrol cars to specialist vehicles.
  • Installing cutting-edge tech like ICT systems, radios, and role-specific equipment.
  • Owning your expertise by leading a specialist area and mentoring colleagues.
  • Ensuring every job meets manufacturer standards and MOT regulations.
What We're Looking For

We need a proactive, detail-driven professional who takes pride in precision and thrives in a collaborative team. You'll bring:
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to drive C1 and D1 category vehicles (or willingness to train within 24 months).

Vetting and Medical

Please be aware that, as a condition of your appointment, you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). There is a minimum 3-year UK residency requirement for Recruitment Vetting, and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be required to undergo a medical assessment.
