Looking for a role where you can make a real difference every day? We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Assistant to become the friendly face of our station and help us deliver an exceptional experience for everyone who passes through.

About the role (External)
What You'll Be Doing
• Be the go-to person for station users - offering help, guidance, and a warm welcome to customers, visitors, contractors, and train operators.
• Carry out regular station checks to ensure safety, security, and compliance - keeping everything in top shape.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally, making sure everyone stays safe.
• Report and track faults, ensuring issues are resolved quickly.
• Assist customers with travel information and make their journey stress-free.
• Check contractor paperwork and issue permits to work safely.
• Work with authorities to prevent unauthorised access and maintain a secure station.
• Spot hazards and take action to keep the station safe.
• Play a key role in emergency plans when needed.
Important to Know
In this role, you'll need to work varied shift patterns (including nights) and be comfortable carrying out individual security patrols to keep our station safe and secure.
What We're Looking For
• Great communication skills - confident in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in a customer-facing role and a passion for helping people.
• Ability to stay calm and assertive in different situations.
• A strong team player who works well with others.
Essential: GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
