Lancashire County Council is delivering an ambitious programme of transformation to improve services, strengthen our workforce experience, and create a modern, efficient organisation that delivers the best possible outcomes for our residents and communities.
To support this work, we are looking for a People Change Partner to join our OD&D and Change Team on a maternity cover basis.
This role may support a specific directorate or work across multiple areas of the council as part of our wider change and efficiency programmes.
Help shape change that puts people first
As a People Change Partner, you'll play a central role in ensuring change is well-designed, well-led and feels positive for the colleagues experiencing it. You'll work closely with leaders, managers and teams to understand what's changing, why it matters, and how to support people through the transition.
You'll be involved in:
- Designing and delivering people-focused change approaches
- Supporting services to embed new ways of working
- Strengthening engagement so colleagues feel heard and involved
- Facilitating collaboration across teams and programmes
- Ensuring change is communicated clearly and implemented smoothly
- Helping transformation feel purposeful, inclusive and sustainable
This is a chance to influence how change happens - not just what changes.
Who we're looking for - this could be the perfect opportunity for someone who:
- Brings a warm, people-centred approach to organisational change
- Can build strong relationships and act as a trusted partner at all levels
- Navigates complexity with confidence, clarity and empathy
- Is curious, collaborative and comfortable working across different services
- Wants to support meaningful change in a large, diverse organisation
Whether your background is in change, improvement, engagement or OD&D, your mindset and approach will be key.
Why join Lancashire County Council?
You'll be part of a supportive and creative OD&D and Change Team that champions learning, collaboration and human-centred design. You'll work on varied and meaningful change programmes with the opportunity to develop your skills, shape practice and make a real difference.
This maternity-cover role offers a unique platform to gain cross-council experience and influence how we evolve for the future.
