Registered Building Inspector Class 2F
Description
Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent
We are currently in the process of developing a comprehensive, efficient and effective building control service that operates differently to traditional local government building control services. The service will be encouraged to increase income and open up new markets.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Control Surveyor to join our established Building Control team. You'll have proven experience of providing an effective and efficient Building Control operation and a Class 2F registration.
You'll undertake all Building Control duties including plan checking for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation, site inspections, and the investigation of reports of dangerous structures, including outside normal working hours and demolitions. You'll have a good working knowledge and experience of building and construction as well as informed understanding and awareness of current relevant regulations and legislation. An excellent communicator with the ability to prioritise your own workload, you'll be highly organised and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
What we can offer you
As well as the satisfaction of helping to improve thousands of lives across Leicester, you can look forward to a work environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance. You'll enjoy generous annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the option of flexible working. We'll also give you the chance to develop your skills and expertise with a variety of training and development opportunities. In addition, you can choose from several flexible benefits, including discounts on city buses and trains. For an illustrative value of your benefits package, take a look at our benefits calculator.
