Fisher House is a remarkable 18-bedroom facility designed to provide military patients and their families with a comforting and supportive environment while their loved ones receive treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This purpose-built residence is conveniently situated on the hospital site, within walking distance, making it easily accessible for families during challenging times. Fisher House officially opened its doors on June 21, 2013, with the honor of being inaugurated by HM King Charles during his tenure as HRH The Prince of Wales.

Military personnel can be stationed anywhere across the UK or even around the world, which can pose a significant challenge for their families when a loved one requires hospital care in Birmingham. Fisher House steps in to alleviate the stress and burdens associated with this situation. Families can stay at Fisher House free of charge for as long as they need, eliminating the worries of finding accommodations, financial strains, and the logistical challenges of traveling to and from the hospital.
