Description
The RAF recognizes the challenges faced by the partners of its personnel, including deployments and frequent relocations. To address these issues, they have introduced the Thrive program, which aims to enhance the well-being and emotional resilience of RAF partners. The program offers free workshops and webinars led by qualified coaches, many of whom have military experience themselves or are partners of military personnel. They also offer a special webinar for female junior-ranking RAF members on maintaining a work-life balance.
In 2023, the Thrive program is offering a workshop delivered over four 90-minute sessions and four interactive webinars. Participants can choose one of these options due to limited availability. The available workshops/webinars cover topics such as managing anxiety, dealing with uncertainty in military life, and providing support for relationships during the festive period.
For example, one of the webinars, "Managing Anxiety," helps participants understand anxiety symptoms, triggers, and provides tools for managing anxiety. Another workshop, "Managing Uncertainty in Military Life," explores embracing uncertainty and its impact on decision-making and communication. Lastly, the "Support for Relationships During the Festive Period" webinar addresses holiday-related stress and offers strategies for a happier holiday season.
By participating in these Thrive workshops and webinars, RAF partners can gain valuable insights and techniques to navigate the challenges they face in their unique circumstances.
