Description
Currently not open to referrals Is specifically for ex-Service men and women 16-64; individuals who may have a wealth of experience and skills, but who are finding it difficult to transition fully into civilian life or are struggling with maintaining a civilian focussed identity. This service involves a Wilderness Journey, usually in the Scotland - Highlandss, to support individuals in developing their life skills and the capacity to see themselves differently and make positive changes that supports their transition. Nature offers opportunities for people to reflect on beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours. Adapting to this new environment, resilience is increased, participants develop understanding of how to interact others, and improve impulse control in challenging situations. Our outreach team continues to provide community link support for a period of up to 9 months helping participants to make and sustain connections to services and benefit from employment, education, training or volunteering opportunities within their communities.
