About the course:
This City & Guilds Level 3 course is a 3-day course suitable for anyone who needs to work as a member of a rescue and recovery team in confined spaces. The course reflects the national occupational standard for working as a rescue and recovery team member in confined spaces, and covers both water and non-water industry areas.
Course content includes:
- Preparing to carry out emergency activities
- Entering and exiting confined spaces safely
- Using emergency equipment
- Casualty recovery and handling devices in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
- Rescuing and recovering casualties
- Following procedures and working safely.
As a Level 3 qualification this training course qualifies for ELCAS funding.
There is a prerequisite that students must have completed the 6160-03 L2 Award Working In High Risk Confined Spaces before attending this training.
