Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is one of the established Defence, Engineering, and Technology Consultancies in the UK, and we are pleased to be recruiting a new Market Group Manager covering our business activities in the UK's Defence Nuclear Enterprise - a critical role in advancing our business.

As Head of Market for the Land Domain, you will lead a strategically critical portfolio, shaping the direction and growth of our defence partnerships. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience engaging at senior levels across the defence sector, driving complex business development initiatives, and securing large-scale, long-term programmes. You'll play a key role in defining our market strategy, strengthening client relationships, and identifying opportunities that advance both our commercial objectives and national defence priorities.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering, and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives
- Build and manage long-term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first point of contact.
- Accountable for identifying, and mitigating commercial risks
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Line Manager for a group of Business Managers on a day-to-day basis, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring
Essential Experience:
- Skillful in enhancing business development and boosting sales, ideallywithin Defence/Land Domain, but applicable to wider defence, engineering, or technology sectors
- Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value
- Skillful communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Organised professional with a strategic mindset and a results-driven attitude.
- Desirable Experience:
- Background in consulting would be advantageous.
- Existing network within defence primes, government agencies, or related industries
- Experience with framework agreements and public sector bids
- Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
