Role: Productivity and Capability Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:50 pm
Worker Type: Hybrid - a mixture of office and home working is to be expected
Salary: Grade I - £46,142 - £49,282 per annum
Location: Harvey Road, NG8 3BB

About the Role
We are seeking a forward-thinking Productivity and Capability Manager to support a key transformation programme within Housing Services. This strategic role will help shape an agile, intelligence-led service that balances customer needs with asset management priorities.
You'll lead initiatives to improve workforce productivity and resource capability, using data-driven insights to identify challenges and implement effective solutions. Working collaboratively across teams, you'll coach managers, streamline processes, and embed success measures at service, team, and individual levels.
Key responsibilities include developing performance reports, optimising IT systems (including NEC modules), and supporting managers with people-related activities such as performance, attendance, and capability. You'll also champion flexible working practices, talent development, and equality, diversity, and inclusion.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Evidence of successfully leading teams, with experience of;
- Motivating people and creating high-performing services
- Empowering others to take decisions
- Successfully managing wellbeing and resilience
- Ability to plan for the future, with effective workforce planning skills
2. Able to lead service through change, with experience of
- Evidence of leading change programmes, bringing others on the journey with you.
- Identifying and delivering innovative service delivery models
- Able to create a culture of continuous improvement
3. Leading the implementation of productivity and capability-related projects and initiatives to improve service effectiveness
4. Detailed knowledge of understanding productivity and capability issues to enable the delivery of agile workforce that meets the purpose for being here.
5. Experience in process management, including experience in evaluating and developing policies and systems and removing non-value adding activities
6. Ability to positively communicate effectively with a range of audiences utilising a variety of formats, methods and activities including written and verbal, virtual in person.
