About the Post

We are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic PE Cover Supervisor to join our fantastic team at Poole High School. We are looking for a motivated and inspirational colleague with a passion for sport and transforming the life chances of young people. You will be teaching all subjects across the curriculum including PE lessons. A keen interest in sport and/or coaching experience would be an advantage but not essential. Previous post holders have used this as a springboard to a teacher training course.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

    • Supervise classes for absent teachers as required specialising in PE
    • Assisting students with the work set by the teacher or head of department
    • Provide feedback to the teacher of the behaviour and progress of classes and individuals
    • To carry out daily PE safety checks
    • To work with the PE department in supervising clubs and activities
    • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
