Programme overview:
Our 2026 Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, starting on Monday 15 June and finishing on Friday 21st August 2026. This internship is designed to give you a unique introduction to the Asset Management industry and offers valuable insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders. Please note we are only accepting applications from penultimate year students graduating in 2027.
Throughout the programme you will:
- Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business
- Be assigned to a team where you will contribute to live projects and gain meaningful hands-on experience
- Shadow experienced professionals and learn directly from leaders in the field
- Have opportunities to network with colleagues and other interns, helping you build connections for your future career
This internship provides practical experience, skill development, and a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in the Asset Management sector.
Who we're looking for:
We seek ambitious, creative, and collaborative interns who are passionate about content, digital, and client-focused marketing. You should be eager to learn, able to adapt quickly to new teams and challenges, and motivated to build a career in asset management marketing.
Ultimately, we are looking for enthusiastic interns with a blend of technical and soft skills, eager to grow their marketing career in a dynamic environment.
Required skills and capabilities:
- Understands different types of marketing campaigns and content (such as articles, emails, and social posts), knows the basics of audience targeting, and is familiar with mainstream digital and social media platforms.
- Comfortable working with data, tracking key metrics, and learning from analytical insights to support decision making.
- Attention to detail when reviewing content and materials, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Effectively tracks tasks, manages priorities, and meets deadlines; proficient in using collaboration tools like Outlook, Teams, or SharePoint for team communication and coordination.
- Works positively within diverse teams, contributing to shared objectives and building strong professional relationships.
- Communicates ideas clearly and concisely, with the ability to adapt style for different audiences and situations, both in writing and verbally.
- Brings fresh ideas, welcomes opportunities to innovate, and volunteers suggestions for improvement.
- Acts ethically, respects confidentiality, and upholds the firm's values in all interactions.
- Proactive in staying up to date with marketing trends and developments and committed to continuous learning.

The team:
At Schroders, creating effective content and ensuring it reaches the right audience in the right way is more important than ever. The Marketing team at Schroders is structured to focus on the future growth of the business, with a Central Global Marketing team which consists of areas dedicated to specific marketing areas of expertise (detailed further below), specialist teams in Schroders Capital, Corporate Communications and Wealth in addition to Regional Marketing Hubs in the Americas, UK, APAC and EMEA. The Regional Marketing Hubs work with the Central Global Marketing Team to tailor global campaigns for local markets. The Regional Hubs also work with the regional sales activation teams on local marketing initiatives.
- Global Marketing
- Proposition Marketing - The Proposition Marketing Team is responsible for developing Schroders global marketing campaigns that are activated across the different markets, working closely with Value Proposition to ensure business priorities are aligned with global marketing initiatives. The team work closely the regional marketing hubs ensuring campaigns are relevant for local markets in addition to working closely with other teams within Global Marketing to bring campaigns to market.
- Platforms & Engagement - The central Platforms & Engagement team plays a pivotal role in how we utilise MarTech to interact with our clients and prospects across channels. Ensuring that Marketing's platforms, people, and processes remain competitive and aligned with the business objectives is a critical function of the team. Another important role is to provide analytics and reporting on how individuals are engaging with our content and propositions. This insight is then used to inform decisions, optimise campaign performance, and create new opportunities for growth and retention.
- Campaign & Media Strategy - The Campaign & Media Strategy team is pivotal in advancing our brand's presence and authority within the financial sector. Focused on engaging financial professionals and investors, this team leverages strategic content and targeted advertising to convey our investment expertise, enhance thought leadership, and effectively communicate our market insights. By utilising both owned and paid media channels, we aim to build strong relationships with financial professionals and drive informed investment decisions.
- Planning & Production - The Planning & Production Team is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns and projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional needs. The team is also responsible for the creative production workflow and collaborating cross-department for campaign performance reporting.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications we're looking for:
- An honours degree or equivalent - we're not fussed when it comes to your degree subject , however a marketing focused qualification would be beneficial
- You will be in your penultimate year of study. Unfortunately we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e. Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
- A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The ability to understand our target audiences
