Programme overview:
Our 2026 Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, starting on Monday 15 June and finishing on Friday 21st August 2026. This internship is designed to give you a unique introduction to the Asset Management industry and offers valuable insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders.
*We are only accepting applications from penultimate year students graduating in 2027.
Throughout the programme you will:
- Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business
- Be assigned to a team where you will contribute to live projects and gain meaningful hands-on experience
- Shadow experienced professionals and learn directly from leaders in the field
- Have opportunities to network with colleagues and other interns, helping you build connections for your future career
This internship provides practical experience, skill development, and a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in the Asset Management sector.

We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals with a keen interest in private markets and sustainable investment. You should possess a willingness to learn, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic global environment. Required skills and capabilities:
- Demonstrates curiosity and learning agility by seeking to understand private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure investments, appreciating how these differ from public markets.
- Shows numeracy and accountability through confidence in working with numbers, handling investment calculations, and a keen interest in learning about returns, risk, and portfolio management concepts.
- Embraces digital competence and continuous improvement by using Excel to organise, analyse, and visualise data, and actively seeking out new digital tools to improve efficiency and insight.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications we're looking for:
- An honours degree or equivalent - we're not fussed when it comes to your degree subject or predicted grade, however a STEM focused qualification would be beneficial
- You will be in your penultimate year of study. Unfortunately we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e. Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
- A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The ability to understand our target audiences
