Automation Test Engineer

Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineer and Assurance .As enterprises simplify, modernize and secure their legacy environments for the digital era, robust quality Engineering and assurance is essential. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems. In so doing, increasing quality and speed to promote faster business and technology change, as well as a better customer experience.

Responsibilities :

• Automation testing - Cypress or any Java Script based automations tools
• Cross browser testing (browser stack / Lamdatest)
• integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines preferably using GitLab
• Agile/DevOps ways of working with good communication and work directly with the client
• Test management tools such as Jira, XRAY, and Confluence
• Writing automation scripts in Postman or Ready API
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accessibility Testing (WCAG 2.1) using any industry standard tool set

Key Skills and Experience :

• QA experience with strong automation skills. Good Communication Skills and has managed the QA delivery of a agile squad independently.
• Strong experience with Cypress or any Java Script based automations tools
• Experience of cross browser testing (browser stack / Lamdatest)
• Proficiency in integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines preferably using GitLab
• Strong Agile/DevOps ways of working with good communication and can work directly with the client
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, XRAY, and Confluence
• Experience with writing automation scripts in Postman or Ready API
• In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accessibility Testing (WCAG 2.1) experience using any industry standard tool set

Good to have

• Security awareness and understanding of secure coding practices
• Telecom domain experience
