About the role

The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon, West Dorset & Plymouth, is looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the hard-working and friendly team at Chickerell Primary Academy.

This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated individual to support a pupil with additional needs.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• establish constructive relationships with the pupil and encourage interaction with others
• to promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being
• liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
• you will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion
