Joint Security Services is a security company providing manned guarding, mobile patrols, CCTV monitoring, and other security services. They cater to various industries, including construction, retail, and corporate sectors. Joint Security Services focuses on delivering professional and reliable security solutions, protecting clients' premises, assets, and people from potential threats and risks.
Joint Security Services (JSS) was founded in 2017 by British Army veteran Wayne McKenna-Bruce alongside Army reservist Ewen McAulay. JSS is a security company with over 100 employees covering more than 20 sites across the UK, including APAM, Mayfield, Ashdown Phillips and Bioenergy Infrastructure Group. JSS holds a Silver Armed Forces Covenant Award, with 20% of its workforce being veterans or reservists.
JSS actively recruits veterans into security roles like guards (£27-30k) and supervisors (£35-39k). Prior military experience sufficiently qualifies veterans for entry-level security work. Veterans represent an ethical and skilled talent pool that resonates with JSS’s emphasis on loyalty and teamwork. Their problem-solving skills prove valuable in the sector.
Security roles work 10-12 hour shifts covering both day and night. JSS provides work placements and training for new hires.
JSS implements military hiring policies and an employee network for veterans. A mentor scheme, peer support and welfare access assist transition. Work experience and employment are offered through the Armed Forces Pathway. Additional leave and deployment flexibility are provided.
JSS pursues a positive impact through sustainability and innovation. Its culture recognises veterans’ value and promotes collaboration and respect. JSS presents excellent security sector opportunities for veterans and service leavers to utilise their military strengths.
