As part of our commitment to working alongside the Armed Forces and local employers, a 1-day course is available for personnel that require the CSCS card to work on site. The Level 1 Health & Safety Award will provide you with underpinning knowledge regarding Health & Safety surrounding construction, assessment is via an online examination and is the pre-requisite for the CSCS touchscreen test.
Course Content Know the principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work Know the importance of safe manual handling in the workplace Know the importance of working safely at height in the workplace Know risks to health within a construction environment Know the importance of working around plant and equipment safely Who is this qualification for? Anybody within the Armed Forces who requires a CSCS card to gain entry on a construction site for future careers.
Assessment Method This course is assessed by a multiple-choice examination
Progression Upon successful completion of this Level 1 Award, we will book your CITB Health & Safety touchscreen test. One this has been achieved we will then apply for your Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card which allows access to construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.

Course Requirements* ID will be required on your first day and the course includes one test only. Should learners require to re-sit their CSCS test, further charges will apply.
