Pertemps Recruitment Partnership sources permanent, temporary and contract talent across technical, professional and commercial disciplines helping organisations secure skills they need to succeed across diverse sectors.
As a family-owned recruitment firm, Pertemps ingrains the Armed Forces community in its culture and empowers veterans to shape it. With over 100 veterans among its workforce, a team exclusively finds jobs for veterans. No prior recruitment experience is required for opportunities.
Starting as a small family business in Birmingham, Pertemps has grown its expertise and network to diversify across sectors while upholding strong values and supporting communities. Its candidate registration highlights military background to provide the best support. Roles are advertised via the CTP, Forces charities and employment consultants.
Veterans bring sought-after skills like communication, problem-solving and teamwork that transfer widely. Specific expertise in mechanics, engineering, driving, warehousing, HR and health and safety is also valuable. 80% of Pertemps recruiters were inexperienced originally. It will also place veterans in other roles like office work, warehousing, logistics, project management and training.
The Forces Liaison team provides ongoing coaching and mentoring, including CV and interview advice. Free commercial vehicle training is offered, along with reduced cost qualifications like DCPC. Reservists and cadet volunteers get extra leave, and military spouses get a day off when partners return from deployment. Families are supported to move jobs without disadvantage.
As an MOD Gold Award winner, Pertemps partners with like-minded companies to support veterans with employment and upskilling. It has joined Armed Forces Partnerships and has its own Covenant Award recognising branches and individuals supporting the military community.
Veteran recruitment is a focus of Pertemps' Levelling Up programme. Veterans are included in its employee network. A Reserve Forces Champion advises reservists and educates managers.
Pertemps is also Business in the Community’s Regional Employer of the Year, evidencing its commitment to forces-friendly recruitment and development. It continues to build partnerships, recently with Walking with the Wounded. As a trusted voice, Pertemps promotes veterans in the workplace.
