Are you a passionate Graphic Designer with a keen eye for detail and a flair for creativity? We’re on the lookout for someone who can bring ideas to life across a wide variety of media from websites and social content to brochures, advertising, exhibition stands, and more.
You’ll work as part of our in-house Marketing team, as well as closely with colleagues across the business including HR, Commercial and other departments, to ensure a consistent and compelling brand presence across the waste management and aggregates sectors.
What you’ll be doing as a Graphic Designer:
• Champion the Grundon brand by ensuring consistent and accurate application across all marketing channels, including advertising, corporate materials, vehicle livery, exhibitions, and online platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to work on a range of projects and understand project objectives and deliver creative solutions from concept through to final output.
• Support communications for online platforms, including the Grundon website and internal hub, by creating and refreshing visuals and maintaining a strong visual identity.
• Work closely with the Brand Manager to protect and promote the brand, ensuring guidelines are followed and design output reflects the company’s values and standards.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing workloads and deadlines effectively to meet business priorities.
• Oversee in-house printing and stock control, as well as managing orders, suppliers, and related admin tasks.
• Stay current with design trends and technologies, using a variety of media such as illustration, animation, photography, and videography to keep content fresh and engaging.
• Maintain and update Grundon’s photographic library, ensuring assets are well-organised and accessible.
• Support additional tasks and ad hoc projects as required by your line manager or the Board, in line with your role and capabilities.
What you’ll need:
• At least 2 years’ experience in a graphic design role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and high-quality execution.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat, plus solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Good understanding of print production processes and the ability to prepare artwork accurately for various media formats.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
• Creative flair and a sharp visual eye, with the ability to translate briefs into practical, visually engaging solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in presenting ideas and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
