Installation & Commissioning Engineer (180jc) – Midlands Based, Covering the UK - £35 – 45k + OT + Company vehicle
Your role: Get essential systems up and running, where they matter most.
My client is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of installing and commissioning specialist systems across NHS and commercial construction sites across the UK. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role that would suit a veteran with experience in engineering support who has left the forces and gained some commercial experience.
What You’ll Do
· Install and commission conveyor and pneumatic systems across UK sites either by yourself or as part of a small team.
· Interpret construction drawings and schematics to deliver smooth installations
· Fault-find and bring systems live with logical, methodical troubleshooting
· Carry out handovers, acceptance testing, and on-site user training
· Liaise with site staff, project teams, and clients professionally
· Travel Monday to Friday, with hotel accommodation and subsistence covered
What You’ll Bring
· 2+ years of hands-on Electro-Mechanical experience
· Confidence working independently or as part of a small install team
· Ability to read technical schematics and understand construction environments
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Good IT literacy (for commissioning software and basic reporting)
· Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications (But Not Essential)
· Electro/Mechanical NVQ or recognised trade qualification
· CSCS / SSSTS / CCNSG safety certification (training can be provided)
· Familiarity with hospital or live-site protocols
· DBS check will be required and paid for by the company
