Business Area Manager (Commercial waste)
Salary:Competitive plus performance bonus, company car/car cash allowance, private medical cover, pension and many other Veolia benefits.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Widnes (covering Manchester, Chorley & Widnes)

What you'll be doing;
- Managing a number of commercial waste collection businesses, overseeing staff and resources.
- Delivering effective services to maximise operational efficiency and profitability, within budget.
- Working closely with the sales teams and understanding local market conditions and competitors to maximise the potential for growth opportunities.
- Providing clear, transparent & accurate reporting of business performance.
- Delivering operational efficiencies through the use of digital, asset utilisation, and cost control.
- Developing and delivering strategic plans to ensure that the business adapts to changing environments and customer needs.
- Providing visible, approachable, and exceptional leadership and maximising quality and efficiency through team management.
- Providing high-level customer relationship management.
- Delivering effective budgets and monitoring financials, overseeing profit and loss accounts, including forecasting, sales growth, and profits.
- Ensuring safety remains at the forefront of everything.
- Carrying out performance discussions to ensure site succession is in place.
What we're looking for;
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Previous commercial waste management experience.
- Strong business acumen and financial management.
- Customer relationship management.
- Strong communication, negotiation & influencing skills.
- Ability to delegate through empowerment & trust.
- Fleet management experience.
