Salary: £35,582 to £40,830 per annum
Location: Manchester or York based
Contract Type: Permanent
Office Requirement: Hybrid - 3 days in the office
28 days annual leave + bank holidays

Transpennine Route Upgrade
The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is the largest Infrastructure project in the North delivering £10.7 billion Programme of activities that is improving the railway between York and Manchester via Leeds and Huddersfield.
Stretching across the North of England, this key 76-mile Transpennine railway serves 23 stations, crosses over and dips under 285 bridges and viaducts, passes through six miles of tunnels, and crosses over 11 level crossings.
Proposed improvements as will deliver a hard-working, reliable railway for passengers, allowing for trains with more seats, more services and faster journey times.

Brief Description
This role will require you to provide an effective reporting service in support of the Head of Reporting within the Programme Management organisation (PMO). The role will require you to provide support for both internal and external
reporting requirements including creating, managing and co-ordinating Programme Governance & Operational Reports for Directors & the senior management team to time and in line with the agreed levels of quality. The candidate
must have an eye for detail and be able to work across all levels of an organisation.
About the role (External)
Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:
1. Coordinate production of overall investment plans for the programme area.
2. Provide an effective day-day service to the Programme and Project Managers in reporting on plans, costs, physical delivery and programme performance, including HSQE performance.
3. Provide an analysis of the project and programme information, looking for anomalies and key trends against the recorded baselines.
4. Monitor the application of project change control checking & reviewing that issues; requests and orders are tracked and reported through to completion and any at risk works are recorded and values published to the programme management team.
5. Monitor so that data inputted into cost and performance systems meets data standards.
6. Maintain project system and project control functional activities in accordance with the requirements of the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) or other specified project lifecycle as appropriate.
We need you to have:
• HND or NVQ equivalent in construction or engineering related subject.
• Successful relevant experience in the management, planning or delivery of major construction and engineering projects.
• A working knowledge of investment programme and project controls processes and systems.
It would be advantageous if you have:
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
• Proven ability to work under their own initiative.
• Demonstrates ability to add value.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of an organisation
• Experience of working on major programmes
