This is part of the East Lancs Child and Adolescent Service (ELCAS, formerly CAMHS)

We are looking for:
The Education Team is looking to appoint a flexible and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join its forward thinking and innovative team.
Information:
The ELCAS Day Unit provides assessment and treatment of the mental health needs of children and young people. The Education Team, as part of the Day Unit, work closely with clinical colleagues and professionals from other agencies, therefore, the ability to work collaboratively is essential. The Team delivers an in-centre timetable and outreach work, to mainly pupils of secondary age and a very small number of pupils of primary age.
The educational provision at the Day Unit is provided by Lancashire Hospital Education Service (LHES).
Essential Qualifications:
Level 3 (or above) qualification in a child/young person related subject
Level 2 (or above) qualifications in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Essential Experience
Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment supporting learning
Desirable Experience:
Experience of supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
