Contract Type: 2-year fixed term contract
Working Hours: 37 hours per week - Flexible and agile working (by agreement) to cover the service 24 hours per day and 7 days a week
Worker Type: Off-site worker
Salary: Grade G - £35,235 - £37,938 per annum

About the Role
As an experienced Joiner, you will contribute to the provision of good quality rented housing, and the achievement of high levels of tenant satisfaction, improving the landlord and tenant relationships, and protecting health and safety.
You will be responsible for any joinery or carpentry item including but not limited to; roof structures, staircases, walkways and balustrades, banisters, skirtings, architraves, handrails, flooring, kitchen units, worktops, aqua boarding, glazing, fencing and gates where it is NCC Housing's responsibility. We will look to you to maintain the structure of the property include all those elements which give a dwelling its essential appearance, stability and shape, and those that provide protection from the climate.
We will also expect you to be able to complete relevant associated work for example small elements of bricklaying or plaster patching to facilitate completion of repairs in one visit.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working in all aspects of joinery and carpentry work. Highly competent in all aspects of joinery and carpentry and must be able to complete associated tasks to ensure all woodworking, joinery and carpentry works can be completed (e.g. plaster patching, painting, ironmongery, removing and refitting pipes)
- Qualified, certified & trained Joiner to NVQ3 or C&G Advance Craft.
- Full and valid driving licence.
- Experience of communicating with customers with differing needs.
- Experience of carrying out investigations and tests to identify faults and the root cause of issues and implement lasting solutions.
- A well organised and a methodical approach to completing tasks and prioritisation skills.
