The role
As a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will ensure the effectiveness and success of Business Continuity for critical services of the Skynet programme and key stakeholders across the programme.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for supporting the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Manager who ensures performance evaluation and continual improvement in the activities covered within Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Furthermore, they are responsible for the upkeep of the important documents associated with BCMS.
- Maintain Business Continuity policies and procedures, including the upkeep of the Business Continuity Management System.
- Support to develop and maintain the Business Continuity Management System to meet the ISO22301 standard.
- Coordinate maintenance and exercising (testing) of the overall business continuity plans for each critical functional area and ensure that these meet business and regulatory requirements;
- Coordinate activities to assure that recovery strategies are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes.
- Support by coordinating the business impact analysis and assist in determining critical business activities and assess achievable recovery time objectives.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Coordinator
- Knowledge of Risk Analysis of different functional areas.
- Business Impact Analysis.
- Experience of a Business Continuity Management Framework complying with the ISO 22031:2019 standard.
- Experience with the coordination of exercising (Testing) of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, processes and procedures.
- Experience with the resumption of critical business processes in the event of a disaster.
