Job Summary

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and competent individual for the post of Anti-Social Behaviour Coordinator - Macclesfield. The position is initially a part time position of 4 x days per week (between Monday and Friday 29.6 hours).

This is an exciting new opportunity whereby the successful candidate will be able to experience partnership working alongside police colleagues, the councils Community Enforcement Team and various other partner agencies.

You will be based between Macclesfield Police Station and Macclesfield Town Hall and will work alongside our 3 other ASB Coordinators covering areas across the rest of the borough. There will also be opportunities for home-based working during parts of the week as well once initial training has been undertaken.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Applications are invited for the post of Anti-Social Behaviour Coordinator - Macclesfield with Cheshire East Council.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to making the borough a safer place for residents, visitors and businesses. You will be working with communities to address issues such as, young people involved in anti-social behaviour, resident and neighbourhood disputes and place based anti-social behaviour.

The successful applicant will be part of the Anti-Social Behaviour Team who provide comprehensive support to the Neighbourhood Services Team in the implementation of preventative and enforcement strategies that will reduce levels of anti-social behaviour within Cheshire East, including effective partnership working, to prevent and manage problematic behaviour displayed within communities and neighbourhoods by young people and adults.

ABOUT YOU:

You will work flexible working hours, evenings and weekends where required alongside an experienced team dealing with complaints of anti-social behaviour. Good communication and problem-solving skills are required both written and orally, together with computer skills. You will be required to manage both police and council systems with access to 2 x ICT devices and case management systems.

You will need to use problem solving, persuasion, investigation and enforcement skills to resolve anti-social behaviour issues in our neighbourhoods and communities. You will be required to arrange and chair meetings with other professionals, residents, young people and adults to discuss concerns around anti-social behaviour and solutions to achieve positive outcomes based on an Engage, Educate, Encourage and Enforce method.

You will work as part of an Environment and Neighbourhood Services Team with several partnership agencies, including the Police, Landlords, Children's, Adults and Youth Justice services when resolving complaints of anti-social behaviour and you may be required to attend Court to assist with cases and potentially give evidence where this is required.

You will also be required to undergo and pass an enhanced police vetting process to be based within the relevant police stations and access their ICT and hold a full, current driving licence with business insurance. Failure to pass police enhanced vetting will result in any conditional offers for this post being rejected.
